Gray areas in the health system - hidden routes for QTI*BIPoC
Health is a human right. Health care in Germany regularly fails to live up to this principle. In particular, those who repeatedly experience structural exclusions and are confronted with a system that does not take them into account always come across closed doors. These circumstances lead those affected to take alternative paths in order to be able to take advantage of health measures.
On this occasion, we as GLADT e.V. invite you to the specialist event “Gray zones in the healthcare system – hidden routes for QTI*BIPoC” on Friday, October 24, 2025.
After a moderated expert exchange Three parallel workshops will take place between healthcare professionals. Thematically, the focus should be on physical, psychological and self-care. In between there will be a one-hour lunch break with lunch, which also offers time for collegial exchange and networking.
Information about barriers
The building is accessible to wheelchair users. There is an elevator to all required floors. The rooms on the floors are all level and there are barrier-free all-gender toilets. There are also tactile floor elements. The stair railings and the buttons in the elevator are labeled with Braille. There are no switches to open doors.
The event will take place in spoken German. Organizers on site can communicate in German and English, among other languages.
If there are any questions or needs regarding barriers and barrier poverty, we ask for prompt feedback by October 10, 2025 at the latest so that we can check whether and how we can meet these needs can.
Registration
The expert panel and the workshops are each for different, possibly overlapping target groups. We therefore ask that you take note of the information about the respective target group when registering.
Registration is possible until 10. October 2025 possible, number of participants is limited!
When participating, we ask that you take a current corona test and that you stay at home if you have cold symptoms.
