About event
"Gravitational collapse" is a science fiction story about the struggle for hope... the struggle for the will to live...
"When you lose a parent painfully, you don't lose hope and your own center of life - by losing your parents, you definitely grow up... When you lose your lifelong partner, you lose your own personality... and you have to fight the battle to recapture it again... And the older you are, that is, the longer your life together, the harder it is to force yourself to self-preservation to fight..." – Viki Janoušková (2025)
The text of the production was based on the short stories of writer and songwriter Miloš Janoušek Čierna voda and AlternatW, which come from the author's estate. The production offers reflection on the topics: what do losses mean in a person's life, grasping the need to gradually come to terms with them and capturing the mechanisms of transforming the past reality into a new present form, into its new images so that there is no need to displace the past? The production also continues in the line of grotesque extravaganzas and the theater of the fantastic and closes the unfinished trilogy of productions Deja vu (2012) and Flooding (2014), which, like Gravitational Collapse (2025), were created by dramatizing the short stories of Miloš Janoušek and open up themes of coming to terms with the past.
"Our mind has two positions: looking out and looking in. So we dedicated ourselves we have almost completely lost access to our inner being. We are afraid to look inward because our culture has given us no idea of what we will find there. We may even believe that if we do, we will be in danger of losing our minds." – Sogjal Rinpoche: Tibetan Book of Life and Death

Scenography: Jakub Branický
Director: Štefan Korenči
