Grillmaster Flash – full-time entertainer and singer/songwriter from Bremen-Nord – has shown himself to be cleverly willing to change on his previous three albums. Over the past eight years he has meandered along alternative and classic rock, power pop and similar genres, all the way to a punk EP. Overall with a generally strong 80s influence. Now, just under a year after the release of his last, more poppy album KOMPLETT READY (2022), Grilli has recorded a heavy metal album. The 9 songs of a more classic metal style fit pretty seamlessly into his previous discography and stand on their own in both a stylish and eloquent manner. “I've always listened to metal for as long as I've been involved with music. At the age of 13 I came into contact with bands like IRON MAIDEN and METALLICA. After that there was actually no way out. The first things I learned to play on the guitar were metal and hard rock riffs.” Apparently it was only a matter of time before the likeable jack-of-all-trades would dedicate himself to his old love. The result is a German-language heavy metal album that's fun. A bow and idiosyncratic interpretation in one. Because Grilli can do anything! With guest appearances by Sascha Madsen (MADSEN), Sven Nienaber (MÖRSER), Bela B and Rodrigo González (the doctors).
