The conservative M.R. Štefánik Institute (KI), the Ukrainian Institute (UI) and the Institute for Public Issues (IVO) invite you to a discussion about the parliamentary elections that will take place in Georgia at the end
What will the Georgian elections be about? Who are the main actors of the political struggle? What topics move public opinion? How does Russia interfere in elections? What impact can the election results have on Georgia's integration ambitions? Will Russia's influence on Georgia increase after the elections? What is the mood of Georgian society? What are the similarities and differences compared to the situation in Slovakia? What effects can this have on Ukraine?
They will discuss:
👉 Boris Strečanský, who worked in Georgia in 2021-2023 as a development worker of the East-West Management Institute (EWMI ) with a focus on civil society,
👉 Ján Cingel, director of the Strategic Analysis think-tank, which has a long-term focus on the countries of the Balkans and the Caucasus.
