Gumbo Night, celebrating the music of New Orleans

Gumbo Night is an illustrious, monthly tribute to the city of New Orleans, where Jazz, Rhythm & Blues and Funk have their roots and this combination therefore provides a very diverse program. Add to that the cuisine, the drinks and the experience is complete. On these evenings, New Orleans aficionados from all over the country met on and off stage, bands were formed and many artists were discovered. Over the years, many musicians have collaborated, such as Kris Berry, My Baby, Michelle David, Daniel von Piekartz, Boyd Small, etc. Kris Berry's band literally met each other on the stage of Gumbo Night!
In addition, original singles from this music city are played by DJ Moonshine and his associates. These New Orleans connoisseurs also track down gems from the rich oeuvre of New Orleans music every month. In addition to a core group, we try to welcome new artists every month with a connection to New Orleans music, making every Gumbo Night is different and unpredictable. What you can expect from Gumbo Night in any case is a wild party, with blues, brass and soul! Gumbo Night played at: North Sea Jazz Festival, the Bimhuis, Top 2000 a gogo, HBO Treme Season Start, Breda Jazz festival, Jazzfest Amsterdam, etc.
