FOUNDING OF THE WINERY
The Gurdau winery was established in 2012 in the South Moravian village of Kurdějov. A year later, 7 hectares of vineyards were planted here. With this step, we proudly restored the local winemaking tradition, which was suspended for many decades. We chose the name of the winery according to the original German name of the village – Gurdau, thereby trying to respect the history and heritage of the village of Kurdějova.
OUR VARIETIES
Our flagship variety is Riesling Rynský, which we have planted in 6 clones originating from the Wachau, Alsace, Rheingau and Pfalz. Riesling is processed into a whole range of wines, including aged sparkling and sweet wines. The winery also grows the Veltlínské Zelené and Pinot blanc varieties, which certainly do not lag behind in quality.
