𝐆𝐮𝐫𝐥 inspires a return to the spontaneity of youth with its garage/surf rock. Influenced by the new Australian scene (Skegss), surf and garage rock (Dinosaur Jr, Black Lips) and by the first punk wave (Buzzcocks), the group delivers catchy and instinctive music. Gurl reflects this collective enthusiasm, this desire to smile, dance and touch his audience through deeply sunny music. Gurl unveils his first EP “Garden Party”. The trio has already proven itself live during numerous concerts, notably by opening for Surf Curse and Bass Drum of Death, as well as winning the Rock&Folk springboard. In 2023, GURL returns to the studio to record a new EP, entitled ''Maybe We're not Kids Anymore'', which will be released on November 3, 2023 on the Le Cèpe Records label. The group was formed in 2020 by Alexis Krasowski (guitar, vocals) who was joined by Gabriel Le Reverend (bass, backing vocals) following their meeting at a high school concert. GURL finds its final line-up with Alexis Riey (drums), already present on the group's 1st EP and who will officially join them at the end of 2022. Alexis Krasowski's compositions are generally brought acoustically and become electrified as a group, thus adding a live dimension to the project.
