When Gusta started, climbing was not yet a modern sport. There were no climbing walls, seats or specialized climbing frames. Nevertheless, even then it had its deep history, firm ethics and, above all, the spirit of adventure. Gusta started climbing at the age of fifteen — and this year he celebrated his seventy-fifth birthday.
During his life, he climbed alongside many important personalities, traveled to countless places and, as he says, really lived his life. And yet it does not end. His zest for life, desire to try new things and fulfill his dreams are an inspiration across generations.
Prague premiere of the film, which is a personal portrait of a man for whom climbing is more than a sport — it's a way of life. It tells about his journey, dreams, goals and strong experiences that shaped him.
The film is followed by a discussion with the creators. You can look forward to Lukáš Černý, Jan "Gust" Havel and Radoslav "Radar" Groh.

The chief cameraman and editor Lukáš Černý, who has been making climbing documentaries for many years, is behind the creation of the film. However, the project could never have been created without a close circle of friends and collaborators. The rock climber Radoslav Groh played an essential role, without whom the whole story would not have been written at all. In addition, the legendary mountaineer Petr Hejtmánek, who made it possible to capture the completion of the twenty-year-old project on Věžák, and the mountain guide Danny Menšík, who helped Gust to attempt his dream trip in Adršpach — the film also documents this exceptional moment.
