What holds us together in a constantly changing world?
The natural order of things, the rhythm of natural laws.
The living organism of the dancers of the GN|MC troupe (Guy Nader & Maria Campos) draws the viewer into an endless cycle, in which the repeating motif becomes the pulsating rhythm of the entire work. Natural Order of Things uses movement minimalism with hypnotic gradation and culminates in a brilliant partnership full of precise jumps and lifts. After that, the choreography calms down and returns to the original simple motif - just like life, in which we find peace and harmony again after a period of chaos.
The work is characterized by movement plasticity and a brilliant work with space, which does not lose its power even in the finest details. The bodies of the dancers are supported and intertwined, they go to the limits of their physical possibilities. They are like an ebb and flow, governed by one common rhythm, one common breath. Despite being swept away by the group dynamics, each of the dancers manages to captivate us with their unmistakable individuality.
The GN|MC troupe, a Lebanese-Spanish duo based in Barcelona, combines extreme physicality, work with gravity and group dynamics in a distinctive movement language.
