The workshop of Hana Umeseda touches on the very essence of the question "Whose body is my body?" In the space of sharing and physical work, the people opens the possibility of re -appropriating their body back and looking for new strategies of resistance to all who are trying to control it. Hana deals with how deeply rooted patterns of patriarchal control shape not only human perception of sexuality, but also the way people move and how they exist. What strategies allow us to reconsider our relationships to our own body? How does the rape culture project, space and everyday gestures?
The workshop is designed for people who identify themselves as women or have experience to be a woman.
The workshop concerns sexual violence. Hanasaki-ryu. She completed the Soda-MU program at HZT, Berlin University of Art and Cultural Studies and at the Institute of Polish Culture of Warsaw University. In 2018, she was a scholarshipist of the Młoda Poland program of the National Cultural Center, where she debuted as a director with the introduction of communa Warszawa . Five years ago, the name of Hanasaki as dancer Jiutamai Hanasaki-ryu accepted the name. Between 2021 and 2023 she worked with The Center in Motion. She won the first year of art residence scenes of new situations in the current Theater in Štětín.
