We cordially invite you to a lecture about Andersen, a fairy tale whose stories are not just for children.
Hans Christian Andersen (1805–1875) entered history as an author of fairy tales for children. But he emphasized that the salt of his stories is humor, and it will be understood mainly by adults. Danish Helena Březinová will present in her lecture by Andersen's fairy tales and their Czech translations, but you will also learn a lot from the life of the famous writer.
Who is Helena Březinová? He lectures Scandinavian literature and translates in his free time mainly from Danish. He works closely with the center of Hans Christian Andersen in Odess. In 2018, the publishing house Host published the book Slavíci, Mermaid and Sore Teeth. Andersen's fairy tales between tradition and modernity, which soon received reprint and the author received a gold ribbon for her. The program

Andersen and Denmark - the exhibition of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Danish in Prague
