About event
Hans Sigl, live in December 2025 on
pre-Christmas reading tour!
Hans Sigl, Austrian actor and presenter, avowed literature fan and the ever-popular ZDF “Bergdoktor”, is going on a big pre-Christmas reading tour for the first time in December 2025.
In the literary mix he put together himself of cheerful and contemplative stories by authors such as R.M. Rilke, H.C. Andersen, Oscar Wilde, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry to Luise Kaschnitz and Kurt Tucholsky as well as the famous “Story of the Tinsel”, Sigl leads with empathy (and an occasional pinch of irony) through joy and suffering as well as many a wondrous occurrence in the most beautiful season. His relaxed stage presence makes this literary sleigh ride a special pleasure: Sigl has the fine art of confidently transporting his audience into foreign worlds with feeling and presence for an entire evening.
The evening is musically accompanied and atmospherically framed by trusted friends: Michael Armann, who has been at the piano for decades when Sigl gives readings, improvises with bassist Malte Tömißen and the percussionists Maria Schneider and Almuth Lustig congenially discusses Christmas classics such as “Jingle Bells” and “Silent Night”. The same applies to Katharina Königsfeld, successful organ and piano virtuoso and renowned director of the International Kitzbühel Organ Academy, who lets the great organ sound magnificently on some dates.
