About event
After the contemporary queer ballets “Attitude” and “Pas de Q”, Tomi Paasonen is now developing the latest choreography with his Queer Church Of Ballet.
With an eclectic cast consisting of two queer ballet dancers, a drag artist, a burlesque dancer and a trans performer, the group embarks on a search after happiness. In a time that provides little cause for joy and celebration, the question arises once again: Which strategies, methods or ways can be used to cope with the current end-time mood?
“Happy Hour” corresponds to the attempt at short-term happiness and a rather melancholic feeling. Which resources give strength?
The dance piece looks for inspiration and answers in spirituality, religion, nature, psychology but also in distractions such as entertainment, drugs, sex, psychedelics and the queer ability to transform everything into cheerfulness. Strange, poetic and comical scenes are created that are based on the actors' life experiences and reflect their path to self-realization.
Choreography, direction, soundtrack: Tomi Paasonen
Light: Bryan Schall
Dance, performance: Joel Small / Reflexiontra, Ted Littlemore / Mila Dramatic, George N Rose / Lola Rose, Nancy Nutter, Akynos

Happy Hour corresponds to the pursuit of short-term bliss and a rather melancholic sentimental. What resources give strength?
This dance piece seeks inspiration and answers from forms of spirituality, religion, nature and psychology, as well as from distractions such as entertainment, drugs, sex and psychedelics and the queer ability to transform everything into joy. Poetic and absurd scenes based on the performers' life experiences are created to reflect their path to self-realization in a world gone haywire.
