About event

Headliner Pontoons are back!

And what will they look like in 2026? This is what Wlado will describe to you, who is again taking care of their dramaturgy this year and has his fingers... up to his elbows in it.

"When selecting bands for Headliner Pontony this year, I decided to draw primarily from the Feedback column and from our article 50 hopes of Czech music - we did quite a lot of work with it in the editorial office. And I think we discovered a lot of nice new bands and projects in it that deserve attention. Maybe this year, of course, they will succeed and again let's catch some big name, but why not bring young bands to Strelecky Island and give them a chance to show off? Last year, you, our readers, showed that you can appreciate smaller and often lesser-known names. Thanks to how unique our evenings are in the middle of Prague, in a beautiful environment magical environment. So don't hesitate and come!"

The first evening will be opened by two names that we are really looking forward to:

Sea of Chickens
When the "boss" himself and publisher Dany Stejskal comes with a recommendation, it is usually a hit. And it was he who recommended this indie-rock band from far away Vsetín to me. Will there be wallahs and will there be costumes? Let yourself be surprised, but above all there will be great music! In Feeback, Dany was even said to have "fired up" which, given his fondness for shoes, must have been something. So we're looking forward to seeing the Sea of Chickens live up to those words and open the first Ponton of the season with a really good concert!

Joshua Curran
I like musicians, who have self-confidence and believe in what they do. I won't lie that I noticed young musician Joshua Curran on my own, it was quite the opposite. He wrote me that he would like me to listen to his songs. Although it took me a few days, but then when I sat down and calmly ate his creation, it worked. I wrote an article about Joshua and I enjoy his work. And so I thought - why not invite him to Ponton, let him show what he can do live. We agreed and I'm really looking forward to it! Anyone who likes music fed by British guitar players must attend...

And now, above all, don't let it rain!
