The Liszt Institute - Hungarian Cultural Center Bratislava respectfully invites you to the one-act play Mária Hedry: Shadow Fate.

The play Shadow Fate takes place in the Klebelsberg Castle in Pesthidegkút, the former home of the Klebelsberg couple, recalling the years of the couple's life here, and the evacuation of the widowed Sarolta, and the destruction of the valuable library and building complex.
The primary source of the play was Kunoné Klebelsberg's diary entitled Élétutunk, written in exile, and the author also used contemporary documents, other research sources and studies. Through the work, we can get to know the love marriage of an exceptional large-format politician and a woman of bourgeois origin and the everyday life behind it in the 20th century. century's drama full of contradictions, the trials of Sarolta, pushed into poverty. However, the drama not only presents the struggling life of Sarolta Botka to the viewer, but also gives a glimpse into the human character and work of Klebelsberg.
