About event
Award ceremony and exhibition opening
Heinz Jankofsky (1935–2002) was one of the most famous caricaturists in the GDR. His trademark were the lovable, always slightly clumsy, bulbous-nosed characters. He published them in Eulenspiegel, the NBI and daily newspapers. After the fall of the Wall, he worked for SUPERillu as a graphic artist for many years. In memory of him, the magazine is now holding the Heinz Jankofsky caricature competition for the sixth time - this time under the motto: “2025 – eat or die!” The best entries will be selected by a jury. The winning works will be presented and awarded this evening in the conference room of the DDR Museum. They can then be seen there until October 22nd, 2025.
The presentation is open from October 15th to 17th and from October 20th to 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
