The basic course of the Hejné teaching method for the 1st grade of elementary school will be held face-to-face in Košice. This interactive course will take place on Friday and Saturday 3-4. July 2026.
It is intended for teachers who do not yet have any with the Hejné method, or only minimal experience. It is suitable for primary school mathematics teachers who want to actively familiarize themselves with Hejné's teaching method, with knowledge from the field of schema-oriented teaching (VOBS) and with effective procedures that can be used directly in mathematics classes.

Lecturers: Dutková and others
Registration: until 25.6.2026 (or until capacity is filled)
Fee: €138 per person (price for professional program, does not include lunch)
As a bonus, course graduates are entitled to free participation in July meetings of online Clubs of the Hejné method.
Course program:
- Friday 3.7. from 10:00 to 17:30
- Saturday 4.7. from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- introduction to teaching mathematics using the Hejné method, basic principles
- practical workshops in the environments of Stepping and Stairs, Block Buildings, Bus, Rhythm, Trains and Santa Forest
- graded series of tasks
- space for questions and discussion
- the course is intended for 1st grade elementary school teachers who do not yet have any with the Hejné method, or only have minimum experience (however, it is not a requirement that the participant be a teacher)
- we will send the detailed program of the course to registered participants approx. 2 days before it takes place
Certificate of completion of the course:
- certificates are issued in person as part of the final part of the course
- the condition for obtaining the certificate is active participation in workshops (at least 80% of the course) and involvement in the creation of graded tasks
