His artistic language is characterized by an interest in corporeality or gender role aspects and their internal and external survival. These thematic frameworks develop metaphorical references with often misconduct, individual imagination by stimulating dinamics.
works mostly with textiles, but also traditional sculptural techniques with the use of natural resources, creating craftsally elaborated objects that they group into spatial installations and situations. His textile interpretations of stories, memories or feelings are characterized by their own symbolism and refer to traditions that transform in terms of crossing the boundaries of stereotyping or gender conformity. Characters, costumes or paintings that mostly link the episodic story, then, along with inspirations in music or pop culture, report a sensitivity whose power speaks beyond the fragility of used, recycled materials and personal memories and coping with the reality of everyday rhythm.
Jan Bražina is a graduate of the Studio Studio under the leadership of Jan Ambrze at the Fava Vut in Brno. His work was presented at separate exhibitions Hochstapler (2025, Galerie Art in Brno) or Love Rhymes with Fuck You (2023, Galerie TIC) and its installations were part of many group exhibitions, such as My Psyche Is Where The Marble Staircase With Brass Handrail Leads (2024, Holešovická shaft) Stock, still escapes (2023, Plato Ostrava) or Kůže and Masks (2023, Galerie TIC in Brno). In 2023/2024 he was a selected resident of Brno Open Studios Art Hub Incubator.
