Speak Up Heritage Meals is part of the broad Echoes of The Past programme. We welcome everyone, but Heritage Meals is particularly focused on celebrating and supporting the experiences of people from the African diaspora.
Speak Up Heritage Meals is a 3-part* workshop in which you gain knowledge about nutrition during the past of slavery, the overlap between different areas in the Afrodiaspora, the relationship between current nutrition, dietary patterns and our (mental) well-being. In addition, during this knowledge exchange you will prepare various dishes that have their origins in different areas of the Afrodiaspora. This cooking workshop is given by Yvette Dorsiel from Yvette's Kitchen.
