Who would be awake if humanity would die out?
The birds and the trees certainly not.
The Earth would hardly notice the Earth…. Apparently inevitable apocalypse. The music that we have selected show two different voices from the earth: the earth aggravated by people who parries the abuse with natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes (Missa et Ecce Terra Motus). But also nature in its own element with people in the background; An oasis of pristine, whimsical beauty and tranquility (plains capes). We alternate those two voices of nature in the program. In this way you always feel how the earth is ideally you can in its own strength before the natural disasters starts again.
The beginning and end of the program are formed by two new compositions (World Prememanes) by the young composer William Knight. These compositions are based on two corals from J.S.Bach: who Schön Leuchtet der Morgenstern and Wenn Ich Einmal Soll separate. The first coral is embedded in the Genesis composition. The earth has just been born and shows itself from 1 Unisono Toon in all its beauty. The last coral is torn apart by the Apocalypse composition. There is no consolation anymore. It ends as it started; With 1 tone, the flatline.
