About event
The Natural Science Club in Brno, the Institute of Vertebrate Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Moravian Regional Museum invite their members and supporters to the lecture cycle 2024/2025
🦇Bats in the temperate zone live their lives in two physiological extremes. One is active flight, which is extremely expensive in terms of energy, and the other is winter sleep, or hibernation, thanks to which they survive long periods without food. Man cannot manage any of this, that is, without modern technologies, even if he would very much like to rule with similar properties. And he won't be able to hibernate even with the help of technology. The content of the lecture is a presentation of what makes bat hibernation so interesting and how it can help us in space travel in the future.
Lecturer: doc. M.Sc. Jan Zukal, Dr., MBA
