About event
Hieronymus Bosch - a mirror of the world
The new cycle Bohumil Vurma, in which we will delight in the large projection with the most important Bosch works, in which Greek philosophy and forgotten discoveries of the past come to life. We enter the paintings that are brightly colored and dark. Full of unexpected situations that the painter had set on us as a trap that we can easily catch.
2. part:
The temptation of St. Antonín
Let us explore the life of the oldest hermit who lived in the 4th century in Egypt. Bosch's most common topic is the suffering of St. Antonín. Bosch on Triptych boldly shows demons and dark forces in our lives. His time was full of discoveries and inventions, but also wars and intolerance. The Emperor, the Pope, the Kings and the Princes redistributed the world in their favor. They concluded an alliance to betray.
continuation of the cycle:
10. 6. - Life pilgrimage
