About event
Join us on our first community hike in the Little Carpathians, to Skalnatá. An easy hike, suitable for families with children, awaits you, the end of October means that the hike will already be in the magical autumn season, when the trees play with colors.
WHEN?
On Saturday, October 26, 2024, (we leave at 8:30, come early).
WHERE?
We meet at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot on Pezinská Baba, next to the red Mitsubishi.

OUR ROUTE
We have less than 12 km ahead of us with an elevation gain of 525 m, we will follow the red marker and return via the same route.

DRINKING REGIME< br/>The drinking regime at this event will be supported by KOFOLA SLOVAKIA, thank you!
FOOD
There is no hut at the top - take food with you and don't forget to replenish your energy during the ascent: e.g. fruit, candy bar, plenty of fluids - e.g. hot tea. After the ascent, we will rest at the Korenný Vrch Chalet, where you will certainly find something tasty to snack on.
WHO IS THIS HIKE SUITABLE FOR?
This hike, due to its length (11.8 km ) and elevation (525 m), also suitable for recreational tourists or families with children.
EQUIPMENT
We are expecting an autumn ascent, in addition to functional clothing, quality outdoor shoes, don't forget to bring spare things for changing clothes, a waterproof layer (raincoat, jacket, pants).
In autumn, it is already colder in the mountains, so take a warm layer with you, such as: a hat, gloves, a warm down jacket, if it gets cold and there is snow or an icy path, so can cats/cats.
< br/>WHAT PACE ARE WE GOING?
Our community outputs are not about performance or pace. We try to keep the community together so that participants have the opportunity to meet new people, find new partners, enjoy beautiful views. During the ascent, we meet at several common checkpoints. A joint group photo at the top is a must.
DON'T FORGET THE MANDATORY INSURANCE FOR THE MOUNTAINS!
Members of KST Hikemates and other KST / JAMES clubs are insured thanks to their membership. Other participants / non-members are REQUIRED to secure mountain insurance either for the whole year or for this specific date.
