About event
Join us for the last community outing of the year! We will go to Veľká Fatra to Nolcovská Magura, where a relaxing hike awaits you in a lesser-known area of this beautiful mountain range. Come say goodbye to 2024 with us and enjoy the beauty of nature in great company!
WHEN?
On Saturday, November 30, 2024, (we leave at 8:30 a.m., come early).
WHERE?
We meet at 8:00 a.m. in the village of Turčia Nolčovo.
PARKING:
We will specify later.
OUR ROUTE
We are waiting for a circuit approximately 15 to 17 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 650 meters:

WHO IS THIS FOR HIKE SUITABLE?
Due to its length (up to 20 km), winter conditions and altitude (650 m), this hike is suitable for advanced hikers.
EQUIPMENT
We are expecting a winter exit, in addition to functional clothing, high-quality outdoor shoes, do not forget to take with you spare things for changing clothes, a waterproof layer (raincoat, jacket, trousers) and hiking chopsticks.
In winter, it is colder and darker in the mountains, so take a warm layer with you, such as: hat, gloves, warm down jacket, if it gets cold and there is snow or icy pavement, also chain cats / snow boots. Don't forget a headlamp and a hiking first aid kit.
WHAT PACE DO WE GO?
Our community climbs are not about performance or pace. We try to keep the community together so that participants have the opportunity to meet new people, find new partners, enjoy beautiful views. During the ascent, we meet at several common checkpoints. A joint group photo at the top is also a must.
DRINKING REGIMENT
KOFOLA SLOVAKIA will support the drinking regime at this event, thank you!
FOOD
On the route no hut - take food with you and don't forget to replenish your energy during the ascent: e.g. fruit, candy bar, plenty of fluids - e.g. hot tea.
DON'T FORGET THE MANDATORY INSURANCE FOR MOUNTAINS!
Members of KST Hikemates and other KST / JAMES clubs are insured thanks to their membership. Other participants / non-members are REQUIRED to secure mountain insurance either for the whole year or for this specific date.
