About event
[English below]
The perception of music is an important research topic at the State Institute for Music Research. Experiments take place in two rooms, among others: the reverberation room and the anechoic room. What happens to the sound in these rooms and how it affects us is explained and tried out during the tour. The SIM recording studio features a 24-track tape machine and a state-of-the-art digital mixing console. It is used, among other things, for live recordings of concerts. In recent years it has been fundamentally modernized and now has a dedicated data network (Dante) for real-time audio data transmission and much more.
