Unijazz, Synth Library and Noise Kitchen under the auspices of the Alternative Festival invite you to the music and sound production "We are looking for our sound" for all aged 12 to 18 under the leadership of musician and lecturer Mary C (Synth Library Prague) and musician and lecturer Matěj Kotouček (Noise Kitchen). The four -piece ring is free of charge, just register at [email protected]
During four meetings we will learn the basics of working with sound - recording, editing, processing and music composition. We will play on synthesizers, create beats, compose music in software and applications and try other electronic tools from the Prague library collection of synthesizers. We will get to know the world of ears as we haven't tried*I. We will sample, remix, recycle and create new sounds and musical shapes. You create your own sound samples, learn to record in the field. We will explore various genres and help you realize your musical ideas. There is no need to play on any musical instrument, everything will be in place and we will learn it together. You can bring your own laptop, it will also be useful for work.

Marie Quano
Musician, lecturer, curator and music journalist, co -founder of Synth Library Prague. For example, she has worked with Czech Radio, for example, currently preparing educational programs for schools in the atrium Žižkov focused on contemporary music and new musical instruments. Its main themes are the popularization of new ways of music, musical technologies, their availability and socio-economic contexts of sound, music and its work. For example, she worked as an audio creator with artists Eva Koťátková. Sound artist and lecturer. He is currently a member of the DIY platform Noise Kitchen, where he organizes musical improvisation pits for the public. It forms music in the electroacoustic duo Thistle or solo, and in addition to its own work, it focuses on composing music and sound design for theater games, video games and audiovisual projects. He worked in Bastl Instruments as a store manager with synthesizers and music media, took care of the Non Records Music label or organized lectures, events and residences in Vašulka Kitchen.
