For many years I have been asking myself what is the most important thing in a relationship with a dog. If we want to build a relationship with a dog, we need to be able to clearly communicate our needs and thoughts. However, it is not enough just to send signals – we also need to be able to read what the dog is telling us. When the word communication is spoken, many imagine only words, sentences or commands. The very term "command" evokes exclusively vocal expression. In this way, we reduce communication to mere words. In reality, however, communication includes a wide set of signals that we must not only recognize, but also actively work with. Why? Because the dog knows all these signals consciously and subconsciously.
