About event
Kazuhisa Uchihashi has been in the field of free improvisation for over thirty years. Its roots grow from the fertile Japanese scene of the 1990s, where Freejazza furiousness, hypnotic psychedelia and pure experiment were mixed. In addition to its own Altered States, it is worth mentioning participation in several albums of the fundamental group Ground Zero led by Otom Yoshihida. In addition to permanent formations, he has been signed up under a number of recordings with Fred Frith, Shelley Hirsch, Jöelle Léandre, Tony Buck, Ruins or Senyawa. Perhaps the most important meeting was with Hans Reichel. The German experimenter and inventor brought Euhashi to his daxophone, a curious idio tool that usually sounds like a vocal-instrumental ensemble from a futuristic bar in Imagination David Lynch.
Electronics, as defined since the 1950s and 1960s in institutions such as the GRM Center in Paris. His work is liberated from traditional music categories and carefully examines possible timbra of electronic sound, which acts as a physical phenomenon and in which unexpected breaks and acoustic phenomena occur. Gross's patient tends to be strictly abstract and sometimes moves to the edge of noise, yet it can be psychedelic in the true sense of the word, when it unexpectedly disoriently disorges the listeners and disrupts normal perception. In addition to solo work, Gross is involved in the wider French scene and cooperates hard with the personalities of Jean-Luc Gionnet, Jérôm Noetinger or Lasse Marhaug.
Maid recordings to play, recording and creating audio installations in which it articulates different layers of recordings including found material, off -road recordings, voice, musical instruments, objects and the whole spectrum of disabling technologies.
