British singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone is a specialist in heartbreaking love songs. The ones where you can let all your emotions come to life and completely surrender to your own pain for a short time. The British artist's artistic journey began at her parents' home in Lincolnshire, where she had her first musical experiences taking violin and piano lessons. It quickly became clear that Holly is not only very talented in this area, but also has a knack for profound texts that give her art a poetic facet - a recipe for success, as the first publications have already shown. The debut single “Deep End” marked the beginning of a journey at the beginning of 2020, which now includes the celebrated debut EP “Falling Asleep At The Wheel”, the debut album “Paint My Bedroom Black” (2023) as well as top-class features with Sam Fender, among others. Holly Humberstone's sound is in the dark indie, alternative and synth pop area and is reminiscent of genre greats like Haim, Girl in Red and Phoebe Bridgers. The singer-songwriter spent the time after her debut album, among other things, supporting slots for Taylor Swift at London's Wembley Stadium, until she recently returned musically with new music and the single "Die Happy". “Die Happy” comes with the typical melancholic, weighty, meaningful mood, over which Holly lays the deeply personal and yet generally applicable lyrics in a breathy voice, as always. The song sounds like the soundtrack to a dark fairy tale and fits organically into the Brit's previous discography. It's the start of a new chapter for Holly Humberstone - who, after touring Australia as support act for Sam Fender this winter, is also heading out on her own tour next year. On February 10th and 11th next year the Brit will finally come back to Berlin.
