Dear friends and homebrewers of beer.
Hop'n'rolla Home Brew Crew with the kind support of the Hostinec Brewery and the Pokhoi club is organizing the fourth year of the home-brewed beer tasting competition (August 29, 2026 from 10:00) as part of Hop'n'rolla days. Hop'n'Rolla Home Brew 2026.
The categories were announced:
A) American Porter (winning category from the previous year)
B) Smoked beers (all beer categories using smoked or peat malt)
C) Hefeweizen
D) West Coast IPA
E) Pastry Sour
Deadline for registration is 26.8.2026 until 23:59.
The entry fee / donation to cover the costs of the competition for one sample of beer was set at €7.
One competitor can enter only one beer in each category, i.e. a maximum of 5 beers for the entire competition.
The entered beer sample must be delivered in 2 (two) glass bottles or cans (2 x 0.5l, or 2 x 0.33l, 2 x 0.4l, etc.).
No PET bottles or bottles with labels, logos, printed caps or other unremovable stickers.
Unless these conditions are met, the organizer has the right to exclude the competition samples from the competition.
Registered samples in the relevant category will be evaluated according to the international rules and criteria of the BJCP 2021 system, where the entire competition is also registered, by certified evaluators from Slovakia and abroad.
Great chance to win! If you win bronze 🥉 (60 or more points) you will get a diploma, if you win silver 🥈 (76 or more points) you will also get a small prize, and if you win gold 🥇 (90 or more points) other prizes and raw materials for beer production. The winner of Best of show 🏅 will spend one day brewing and tasting beers at the Hostinec brewery in Košice, where we will use your recipe after agreement!
You will also receive scanned written evaluations (tasting sheets) by email with expert sensors, or feedback on what to do or not to do next time :)
The organizers of the competition reserve the right to make changes.
