Slovak punk rock band Horkýže Slíže was formed in 1992 and its founders are singer and bassist Peter Hrivňák (pronounced Kuko) and drummer Martin Košovan, who together with Mário Saba started playing in the rehearsal room at Niter swimming pool. Already in 1993, they played their first concert, which was held in Nitra and at which three other Slovak bands performed together with them.
Horkýže Slíže have built up a very strong position in Slovakia and the Czech Republic during their career, where they sell out clubs, cultural centers and sports halls on their separate stages.
