🌊 Screening of films connected with a discussion on the topic "Trenčín - the city of waves: surfing without the ocean"
🎞️ Selection of films XX. of the HoryZonty festival of adventure films connected with water adventures. The screening will be connected with a discussion with surfer Peter Ďuriš about surfing not only on ocean waves, but about everything that the river Váh has to offer.

Peter Ďuriš | Trenčín - the city of waves: surfing without an ocean
Under the Beck rock, extraordinary people grew up and Peter Ďuriš is one of them. He studied construction, founded the international company Kickresume and works professionally in IT, but he is most suited to an environment where you can move, create and try new things. He feels at home by the water, whether it is the ocean or the river below his native Beckov.
Peter Ďuriš is the type of person who brings people together on the mountains, on the waves, but also at home in Váh, where he has been forming a community around a small local beach for years. After knee surgery and endoprosthesis, most would choose a more relaxed regime, but Peter did the exact opposite. It was then that he started activities that normally inspire respect: surfing, freeriding, diving, skiing. This journey eventually led him to the 30-meter waves in Nazaré, where he found himself on the line-up with, for example, world legend Kai Lenny.
Today he shows that even inland people can surf as naturally as people by the ocean and that an active life or traveling with children does not have to be a compromise.
In his speech, Peter will also explain how new possibilities and technological innovations - from artificial intelligence to artificial waves - changing the world of surfing. At the same time, it will open the topic of the potential of the Váh River in Trenčín and bring closer what can be created when a living sports community and a functioning facility are created around the water.

Bikerafting – a unique combination of cycling and packrafting – is experienced by Xaver Frieser and Gerhard Czerner during an extraordinary expedition in Montenegro. After three days of driving through the Piva plateau and the alpine landscape of Durmitor, they enter the canyon of the Tara River, the deepest in Europe. Here they exchange pedals for paddles and set off on 70 kilometers of wild water with their bikes loaded onto boats. The challenges of the rapids and the raw beauty of the landscape make this trip an unforgettable experience.

While others dream of peaks or records, Emily longs for a quiet, almost esoteric adventure - pulling a canoe through the swamps. Together with her friend Lisa, she goes to the Isle of Lewis to swim its intricate system of lakes. However, even before the trip, an unexpected challenge awaits them: preparation and search for suitable equipment. For Emily, buying outdoor clothing turns into an obstacle, as most of the offer ends at size 16.
