About event
On Monday, we want to go back more than a hundred years for a moment — to 1918, when the first Czechoslovak Republic was established.
It was a huge change, the end of the monarchy and the beginning of a new state that was supposed to unite Czechs and Slovaks. And at its birth stood a man whose name everyone knows - Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk.
He was a philosopher, a politician, but above all a man who believed in the truth, in decency and in the fact that the nation can be better if people try to be better. With our guest – Mgr. With Jar Valent, editor-in-chief of the Historical Revue, we will look at how Masaryk actually thought about his relationship with Slovakia, and why his name is still so alive after more than a hundred years.
Come to the meeting at the Evangelical Diakonie Center in Bratislava at Partizánsk no. 2.
