About event
The Brno branch of the Czech Scientific Society for Mycology and the Botanical Department of the Moravian Regional Museum invite all interested parties to the lecture cycle in 2025
Lecturer: Prof. RNDr. Michal Tomšovský, Ph.D. (Institute of Forest Protection and Hunting, Mendel University, Brno)
On woody plants (trees and shrubs), we commonly encounter various types of damage. The public lecture will clarify which of these damages are related to the presence of fungi and in which cases the presence of fungus on the tree is a serious problem. The problem of invasive species of fungi and fungi-like organisms that cause damage to woody plants will be presented. The methods used to assess the health status and operational safety of woody plants will also be presented.
