On January 31, 2025 the time has come: the third edition of the Housing First Day! This day is all about our shared mission: a society where no one has to be homeless and where everyone is assured of a home. 

The central theme of this edition of the Housing First Day is 'housing'. Because, without housingno housing first. We have put together an inspiring program full of workshops, presentations and lectures, the launch of new initiatives and of course the festive presentation of the annual Housing First Award. During the day, musical and creative intermezzos provide the necessary relaxation.

This year the Housing First Day will take place in Rotterdam, the place where Project 010 successfully demonstrates how Housing First offers a home and a future to (at) risk of homeless young people. Project 010 won the Housing First Award last year.

Why you want to be there

With the housing crisis, political changes and new challenges, it is becoming increasingly clear that we need creative and courageous solutions to end homelessness. There is so much to gain by joining forces. On this day you will meet others who, just like you, want to contribute to real solutions for homelessness. Whether you make an impact in implementation, strategy, policy or another role: this is your moment to increase your knowledge, discover new perspectives, exchange experiences and look further together.

Morning program

Opening and kick-off by Housing First Netherlands and the Municipality of Rotterdam

An interactive keynote with Sander Heinsman (director of housing association Portaal)

The official launch of a new initiative to provide more housing for (imminent) making homeless young people available.

Lunch

Afternoon program

Two rounds with choices from in-depth workshops and lectures, followed by a (plenary) panel discussion. Topics such as homeless families and children, successful collaboration between healthcare organizations and housing associations and stories from practice provide you with tools for your own work. The final programming of the workshops will be announced in the run-up to the Housing First Day. You will automatically receive an email as soon as registration for the various workshops opens.
