Hovory s kastelány: O zámku Telč s Romanem Dáňou

Castle Telč, Pearl of Moravian Renaissance architecture, was created by the reconstruction of the original Gothic castle in the 16th century under the leadership of Italian masters, especially Leopold Esterreicher and Baldassar Maggi. This transformation was initiated by Zachariáš of Hradec, who turned the chateau into a representative residence with a rich sgraffito decoration and arcade courtyards. Ing. Roman Dáňa, the castellan of the Telč chateau, will bring the history of the building, its architectural transformation and the role of the Italian Renaissance in its development.
Summer cycle of lectures with castellans will present you with noble families with Italian roots that left a trail in the Czech lands. Come personally to meet the castellans who will introduce you to the historical context of selected objects and your personal story. They always start at 5 pm. Admission is free.
