Hra Audience

In 1975, Václav Havel worked in the Trutnov brewery as an auxiliary worker; he couldn't do anything else. And it was here that his perhaps most successful one-act play, Audience, about the writer Ferdinand Vaňka (Václav Havel), who is invited by his superior to offer him a promotion to storekeeper, was created. However, the seemingly selfless offer has an absurd catch... Before the performance, Johana Hovorková, the editor-in-chief of Forum24, will read several samples from the work of Ivan Martin Jirous. His poems not only illustrate the time in which Havel's Audience takes place, but many of them still have something to say to us today.
