🔺 What makes a person a hero? Big deeds, or the courage to think differently? Life can be a way from doubt to knowledge, from questions to answers, from common to exceptional. How to find the courage to make your own belief when the world around us changes? And what stories do those who have inspired generations before us and those who are yet to come? What do we learn about Cardinal Tomasek in the light of historical examination? The book Jaroslav Šebek does not born, but becomes. He works at the Institute of History of the ASCR in Prague. It focuses mainly on the political, social and church history of the 20th century. He is the author of books for God, nation, order or between Cross and Nation and dozens of professional studies. He has been cooperating with Czech Television and since 2022 he has been a member of the Czech Radio Council. He is an academic chaplain at the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Hradec Králové and teaches at the Charles University and at the University of Hradec Králové. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Revue Salve. The Second Vatican Council and his reception gave the book Church, Tradition, Reform.
Mireia Ryšková Since 2005 he has been working at the Department of Biblical Sciences of the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague. She is the author of the books Pavel of Tarsus and his world (2014), the time of Jesus Nazareth: historical-theological introduction to the New Testament (2019) or searching for God's face (2020).
