About event
Novohradské museum and gallery, a cultural institution of the Banská Bystrica self-governing region, invites you to family Sundays at NMG to the exhibition "Behind the scenes of NMG - From acquisition to restoration", which will take place:
27.10. 2024 from 15:00
10/11/2024 from 15:00
Get to know the exhibition in a fun way and interesting activities for all members of the family and learn more about the acquisition process and restoration.
Family entrance fee: €5
Exhibition realized with the financial support of the Banskobystrica self-governing region.
About the exhibition: In museums, we get to know the history and stories of collection objects, but we don't think about how they got to the museum , or whether it was necessary to treat them professionally in some way.
NMG curators have selected artifacts from their collections that have interesting stories from the process of acquiring them to the museum, or those that revealed their secrets during restoration. Visitors will also learn what the individual terms mean, such as acquisition, conservation, restoration, in what ways an ordinary object can become an interesting exhibit, thus the exhibition opens up other topics regarding professional activities in the museum, such as research.
< br/>Duration of the exhibition: 24.10.2024 - 1.12.2024
Venue: Námestie Kubínyiho 38/3, Lučenec
Curators: Michaela Škodová, Andrea Németh Bozó, Martin Katreniak
