About event
The occasional event MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS has been promoting co-concerts of various genres and broadening listeners' horizons for more than a decade. Through the subtle dramaturgical discomfort for the performers and the audience, he wants to bite into tolerance and perception of diversity and otherness. The (sub)evening curated by the band Secret Session brings a diverse mix of musical worlds, across legacies and traditions. You have to come on time and be impressed by the variety of performers.
The event takes place as part of the Weekend of Open Parks and Gardens, with which we officially open the new park season at Villa Dominik Skutecký. It's the perfect opportunity to spread out a blanket in our magical garden and enjoy a pleasant summer evening. We are happy to welcome families with children, elderly people and groups of friends. You just need to bring something to eat for a picnic, tune in to the sounds of great music and get new energy surrounded by greenery and art.

THE ELECTRIC TRIBUTE
I was walking down the road and on the street it said... An authentic tribute to the cult band from Banská Bystrica. First wave big beat full of tinkling guitars, triplets and catchy melodies with carefree lyrics by teenage guys from the sweet sixties BB. The complete well-known works of the band will be heard.

ROZÁLIA MIKLÁŠOVÁ
From discovering the variety of sound in classical, contemporary and experimental music as a violinist, she smells of older like music. Love for the sonority of old music in its purest form on period instruments has led Rózka from the Baroque to the Middle Ages, where she immerses herself in the unique overall atmosphere of ubiquitous historical architecture - culture - antiquity at courses in the Italian Spello, a historic stone town on a hill. The music it brings mediates this experience, its instrument is the medieval vielle and the human voice. Let yourself be enchanted by something you have never heard before.

GROTESQUE BUTCHERY
The band was formed at the initiative of drummer Samuel from the band Brainless. It is a side project in which both guitarists of the band are included, i.e. past (Michal) and current (Samuel). The group looks back to the beginnings of death metal, the playing style is fast and aggressive, sudden changes in the songs create an uncompromising, very raw atmosphere. They work in Banská Bystrica, but currently one member is outside the Slovak Republic, so they will probably play this debut concert as a duo!

MACO ZMENA STAUV (feat. DJ Vražda)
Rapper from Banská Bystrica, whose rap is a tool for expressing one's thoughts, feelings and opinions. He draws topics from real life and brings his creativity and poetic touch to the texts. In 2018-2019, he worked in the group No deal, now he is going his own way. He is currently preparing a CD called Zmena Stavu, which will be released this year, so far there are two clips from it. Interesting guests will also appear at the concert.

SECRET SESSION
Original music with echoes of psychedelia, art rock, jam band improvisations and timeless songwriting enriched about a peculiar artistic language and a contemporary text statement. The visual trip will be provided by set designer Ivi Macková's computer-free projections, which went out of fashion half a century ago and were never here (not in fashion, but not at all). The emphasis is on color, dynamics, atmosphere, and in addition to the musician's well-known instruments, the band uses Mellotron, Theremin, Glockenspiel(s), bass pedals, temple blocks, all kinds of percussion and who knows what else... And maybe there will be new songs too:)
