A unique joint symphony orchestra of students of the Conservatory in Žilina and the Conservatory of J. L. Bell in Banská Bystrica will perform in the State Opera in Banská Bystrica. The project led by conductor Michal Vaňouček brings together young musical talents in an ambitious concert program, which is the result of several months of intensive preparation. Musica slovacca Ilja Zeljenko, Symphony no. 8 in G major by Antonín Dvořák and the composition La chasse by Pavel Wranický for piano, wind dectet and timpani.
The concert will also include a selection of opera arias by Antonín Dvořák and Georges Bizet interpreted by the soloists of the State Opera, which will expand the program by a vocal dimension directly connected to the environment of the opera house.
This project is also another concrete example of systematic support. young artists from the State Opera. The institution long-term creates space for their artistic realization and actively develops cooperation with art education. For the students, participation in the project represents an irreplaceable experience – the opportunity to work in a professional environment and collaborate directly with the artists of individual ensembles.
Educators from both conservatories – Ihor Vlakh, Miroslav Baloga and Miroslav Hanáček – participate in the musical rehearsal and preparation of the orchestra. The project offers students a unique experience with symphonic practice and at the same time brings the energy of the upcoming generation of musicians to the audience.
