About event
NA SKOK Theatre: Anton Pavlovič Čechov (based on themes) TRI ŚESTRI
(Chamber production in shariština)
Three sisters. Irina, Maša and Olga. The oldest of the sisters, Olga, is a teacher. The middle Maša is married to a teacher. The youngest Irina wants to grow up and be hardworking. They constantly dream only of when they will go to America together. The sisters are unhappy and want to leave for a better life. However, they always find an excuse to postpone their departure. This chamber production in sharishtine offers a view of a person stuck in time and space, unable to take a step forward. We were inspired by Chekhov's classic, which develops this theme.
In 2024, the theater company NA SKOK celebrated five years since the first premiere, which was the production Matka on May 19, 2019. Since then, it has staged eight productions, five of which are still in the repertoire. The artistic troupe has many awards to its credit from all-Slovak promotion competitions and festivals, including individual prizes for acting, direction and scenography. The dramaturgy of the repertoire is based on the artistic and personal growth of the ensemble and includes the works of Slovak and foreign greats. Theater artists present their work on their home stage, in Raslavice, and on various stages throughout Slovakia and abroad.
