One of them takes his younger girlfriend and her friend. Venice. Year 2022. War in Ukraine. City on the water. Housing in a foreign apartment. Airbnb. Terrace, common dinner from local food, free interviews and summer bodies. The flow of holidays. Can we relax today?
The interview turns to the upcoming season of the theater in which one of the characters works. Russian literature. Taking off pigeons. Someone talks about Prosciutt about a project from the work of Russian Nobelist Josif Brodsky, who stayed in Venice in emigration. Is it possible to separate the origin of the author today from his work? Is the concept of the nation still relevant? The towels are dried on the railing. Can beauty be a mask of terror? And what should art be open? Moral restlessness and everyday life. What are our values and why do we have them? Hear bells from Santa Maria della Salute. Can we be honest with each other? Maybe in marriage and in relationships? Fidelity. The integrity of our identity. Is the truth messy? And what level of openness are we able to bear?
