The spirit of Iceland in literature
We will start the 2024 Days of the North festival on the theme of the periphery with an evening with the Icelandic writer, musician and visual artist Örvar Smárason, who is currently staying at an author's residency in Prague and is working on his new book here. and with the Czech writer Miroslav Pech, whose close relationship with Iceland inspired him to write the poetry collection Ymi's Skull. It will be about their work, the unmistakable Icelandic landscape, the remoteness of this island Nordic country and its literary wealth.

The event is organized by the Scandinavian House and Prague, the city of literature.
Literary evenings in the dramaturgy of the editors of the magazine Prostor in the HYB4 Reading Room are realized with the financial support of the City of Prague, the Ministry of Culture and the State Culture Fund of the Czech Republic.
