About event
How can a picture of a space for the manifestation of an alternative and healing world? What ways can be resisted to marginalizing and oppression? As part of the HYB4 cycle, Adéla Semerádová will try to uncover this question through exploring images of self-fermentation.
The space of the image represents a material and symbolic place in which it reflects, violates, clash, shape or transform diverse influences. Using visual self-destruction, it is possible to analyze the process of identity, self-awareness and reveal strategies of capturing one's own body. Art practice is a performative act that does not represent reality, but creates new ways of vision and being. From the moving image through the photo we get to the painting. Through selected works, it can be accentuated that self-impacts not only represent the subject, but actively create space for re-evaluation of identity, play with body, memory tracks and political relationships. Come with us to discover the possibilities to explore the wider socio -cultural contexts through fragments imprinted in the image and reveal the healing potential of the image.
Adéla Semerádová is a student of film studies at the Faculty of Arts. He devotes himself to lecturing in film education and documentary photography, cooperates at festivals in Prague film suitcase and Golden Voci, also contributes to the daily N.
