HYB4 Hudba: Javier Areal Vélez (AR) + Fæ Bestia | «ššš:um» #3

A curated series of music evenings focused on experiment, contemporary tendencies and technology in electronic music and viewing of the boundaries between sound and multimedia. The third in the series will be presented by Javier Areal Vélez (AR) + Fæ Bestia. His work combines noisy, complex rhythmic structures with synthesis, robotics and light in performances on the edge of human and machine expression. He also devotes himself to prepared electric guitar, where he prefers color and rhythm over traditional forms. He worked with the world's leading artists and performed across continents. He is the founder of the Ruido Festival and a long-time curator of experimental music in the Teatro Colón. It combines independently developing rhythmic structures with the logic of Latin American polyrhythms and sets them in the postdigital environment of noisy samples, raw synthesizers and worrying effects. Music is fully improvised and oscillates between extremely complex rhythms and club -tuned experiment - depending on space and context. In 2025, the first recordings will be released: the introductory EP and the debut album on the prominent German label focused on experimental electronics. Her Gothic melodies blend in with rap and create a unique sound world where Paris Hilton encounters mythical beings. They are songs instructed, but always one step away from trends
