Rebellious Brno: Guided walks in the history of social fighting in Brno
Walk in the footsteps of the editor, politics, left -wing and workers 'activists Josef Hybeš will take us to the Brno Workers' Quarter around the 19th and 20th centuries. It was at this time that the workers' movement, gathering Czech and German -speaking employees of textile factories, who reported in the national and work rights in the nationalally divided Brno. The period of social tension and strokes of workers had several significant organizers, of which Josef Hybeš is generally popular and respected in Brno. He stood at the birth of several associations, led by a unifying Lužánecký congress of the Czech -Slavic Social Democrats and was an unmistakable leader of the local dissatisfied textiles. In addition to the places associated with his work, we will visit factories full of defiance, the seats of important entrepreneurs, the monuments of the working -class movement that survived the 1990s, the place of the first editors of Equality (and became the scary address of the first half of the 1950s) and other forgotten places playing in the history of the working class in Brno.
