The legendary sounder work of American composer Alvin Lucier from 1969 I am Sitting in and Room is one of the essential works of electroacoustic experiment. The composition consists of a live text, which is recorded, its record is released back into the room and re -recorded. This process is repeated, the articulation of human speech gradually disappears, the words become incomprehensible and replacing them with pure resonant harmony and room tones. The work was first realized at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 1970, the Slovak premiere was realized by Fero Király and Eva Vozárová in October 2020 to Jama - 74th year of Milan Adamčiak and Friday, 9 May, 19:00. Music is created by musicians and musicians, tools and space in which the music takes place. It is an absolute expression of the uniqueness of the space in which viewers and performance meet. Fero Király
is a musician, coder and teacher with weakness for interdisciplinary projects. He is a co -founder of the event Jama and the OOO association. Although he is especially known as a piano artist of contemporary classical music (Philip Glass, Steve Reich and others) and a member of the Cluster Ensemble association, solo is interested in digital technologies, sound art and various overlap art forms.
Eva Vozárová
is a dramaturgist, performer, researcher and a freelance cultural manager. He co -founded the OOO and Jama Art Association in the context of Milan Adamčiak's personality, which is involved in curatorial and authorial activities in the field of sound and intermediate art. intermediate art. The founding members are musician, pedagogue and intermediate artist Fero Király and dramaturgist, cultural manager and performer Eva Vozárová. The author's and curatorial interest of the Association focuses on projects that dive into complex relationships between human and non -non -human beings, including acoustic ecology, Deep Lekening, Environmental and Social Themes and disciplines such as anthropology, philosophy, mathematics and other areas of knowledge.
