About event
Participants of the walk can get to know the center of Prague from a different perspective. Buildings from the times of socialism are often underappreciated, but Czechoslovak architects were able to compete with the West even in unfree times. Why is brutalism not brutal? Who originally built the Intercontinental Hotel? And what should you notice most about the Prague buildings of the 70s and 80s?
Participants will walk from the original Intercontinental Hotel through two hidden treasures of this architecture to Kotva. From there, they will continue to the ČKD building on Můstek, through Wenceslas Square to the Federal Assembly. The walk will end at the New Check-in Hall of the Main Station, which has been talked about a lot lately.
