About event
Hi everyone!
Join us on **Friday, June 5th**, for a screening of
**[I Swear](https://www.kinolucerna.cz/en?projection=50398)**[ ](https://www.kinolucerna.cz/en?projection=50398)at [Kino Lucerna](https://www.kinolucerna.cz/en). The film begins at **20:30.**
You’ll find me (wearing a bright pink/flowery scarf) at the Lucerna café (Kavárna Lucerna, on the first floor) from 8 pm.
The 2025 movie from director Kirk Jones chronicles the life of John Davidson who, ‘[g]rowing up with Tourette syndrome in a small Scottish town in the mid-1980s, … fights the odds to eventually become a trail-blazing, decorated activist and advocate for his peers in the United Kingdom’ ([here](https://iffr.com/en/iffr/2026/films/i-swear)).
The movie, which is based on a true story, has enjoyed a warm reception by audiences and critics alike, with particular praise reserved for leading actor Robert Aramayo, who, among other accolades, [won two BAFTA awards for his performance](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgv05r8dgpo).
Come enjoy this screening and stay for a drink and a chat about the film afterward!
